News of Note is the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs newsletter, published as necessary by the WFMC State President.
Currently all events, WFMC Board Meetings, and the WFMC Federation Festivals will be conducted online. The WFMC State Festival Competition, typically held in May, has been canceled due to COVID-19.
The WFMC Spring Board Meeting was held in May via zoom. Any WFMC member is welcome to attend a WFMC meeting. Officers, State Chairs, Festival Leadership, and Club Presidents, are encouraged to attend. For those in a leadership position, whether local or state, you are asked to send a written summary of activities, events, concerts and/or programs, of your plans for the 2020-2021 program year for inclusion in the WFMC minutes. Your written reports need to be sent to the WFMC Secretary, Jeanne Hryniewicki via email.
A Letter of Call will be sent to WFMC members at least 4 weeks prior to the meeting along with an agenda from our WFMC President, Cathy.

The Bay Area adult club has changed their name to: Bay Area Senior Club, Mary Larsen, President announced.
The WFMC congratulates young composers in our state who placed in the state, regional, and national competition of the National Federation of Music Clubs. See the Junior Composers page for more information.
The WFMC is pleased to announce that Clara E Fuller has received the 2021 High Achievement Award. Addison DeVillers was chosen to receive the Peggy Radmer Music Scholarship award for 2021.Nine of the ten Apple for the Teacher Awards were given this year. Congratulations to these music teachers and students. Information on these awards is on the WFMC specific awards page.
