WFMC Apple for the Teacher Awards

Do you know a deserving K-8 classroom music instructor whose classroom budget is stretched thin? Please consider nominating them for WFMC’s Apple for the Teacher Award. The Apple for the Teacher project is designed to assist a kindergarten through 8th grade public, parochial or private school music teacher purchase items for their school music classroom.
Any WFMC Senior Music Club member may nominate one teacher. An explanation of how the money is to be used to benefit the teacher’s students is required in the application. Winning teachers are eligible to reapply every other year. The award check will be made payable to the school to benefit the music teacher’s classroom and students.
Some suggested uses for the award: instrument repair, tuning, transportation to concerts, instrument purchases, posters, digital music, printed music, and musical games. Applications can be downloaded here. Please ask state president Sam Ecoff (secoff@wfmc-music.org) if you have questions.

WFMC Website Updates

I wanted to introduce our webmaster, Joe Nuval, who is helping us upgrade our web site and online presence/branding. Our web site is going to be upgraded in multiple stages. You may have noticed a slight change recently as the web site was moved over to Wix. This is just a first stage, and there will be other exciting new features to come! Heidi and Joe are still trying to update any forms that you need to the web site. If you notice any discrepancies, or have suggestions, please feel free to email Heidi and Joe! Heidi’s email is westview@chibardun.net and Joe’s email is joe@nuvalpianostudio.info.
